We spent the last night of our honeymoon at the Shamrock Arms Guest Lodge. What a wonderful choice. Amazing hosts. Lovely rooms and Waterval Boven is worth a visit. I look forward to going back there sometime. Many thanks for going out of your way to make our stay special.

Lovely Haven. We had a wonderful stay, with a passionate, truly accommodating host. Much laughter and a lovely evening was spent at Shamrock. We felt so welcome and immediately at ease with Jaco's hospitality. His knowledge of the area sent us on fantastic adventures in the area. His recommendations on 'things not to be missed' were spot on. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Jaco really saw to all that we needed. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Lovely stop between Johannesburg and Kruger Park
After a trip of 31 hours (train, plane, Dubai, plane, car) we finally arrived in Waterval Boven. The town is small, The Shamrock Arms is easy to find. We were welcomed by Jaco, who showed us our room (room 3). Nicely decorated, large bed, large bedroom. Everything was done is style.
After unpacking we met the owners Terry and Cheryl. We were asked before if we want to have dinner at the hotel, which we did. We are meat lovers, we replied.
So we had our first braai in South-Africa on the porch. Boerewors, well-matured beef, potato salad and of course a good wine (Merlot Guardian Peak) while it was raining heavily. Because we were very tired of the trip we went to bed very early.
The next morning we had a very good breakfast with a 3*** cheese omelette. Our first day in South-Africa; what a beginning! Baie dankie

Hi Terry, Cheryl Jaco, and Archi,

Once again just a big thank you for a wonderful weekend!!!

We had such a good time and the laughs from Jaco even better. Jaco is a great asset to your lodge.
His advice, where to go and what to do was excellent. We would not have known off these places if he did not tell us..

Leon is as introvert as can get, but Jaco got the best of him.
The food delish!!  Yummy !! Your Break feast is the best I have had – and mark my words I travel around allot for business. Africa,Europe etc..

They can come and learn a lesson from you all!!

If ever we pass your way, I will come and stay or even just visit,
and I will definitely recommend you to other people that I know.
